Adventures in Quarantine

As you all know, Coronavirus has reached Mexico. There have been 585 cases and 8 deaths so far. Everything is closing which means almost everyone is unemployed and people will stop getting paychecks which means they cant get food. People down here are afraid, but not as afraid as people in the USA. Thats because Mexico doesn't post so much stinking news. We are starting a food pantry and our organization is taking food out to the mayan village. Although Michael and I have not left Bali in a while,  I can't imagine what you guys are going through right now. My pastor told us this verse:

2 Chronicles 7:13-16
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. 16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

All this stuff has happened. The drought in Australia, the locust in Africa, and the plague all around the world. Pray for our world.

Please leave a comment telling me how your quarantine is going.

Love you guys and stay safe!!!

Horse Competition

Dogs barking, people talking, the smell of food mixed with horse and leather, music blaring, horses neighing, and the sound of people cheering and clapping. A few weeks ago, I watched Delilah Jackson's show jumping competition she won the second place twice. Delilah has a twin brother Kanon. I spent two day's at a stable in the jungle running around and watching horses majestically jump over poles with ease. I went for a walk with Kanon and another friend Jade. Jade does lessons the quarry was really cool and it was actually really fun because we were not supposed to be there. Kanon told me that the rock that they were mining was not worth much but was a useful in jewelry. When I saw it I knew I was in for an adventure and I felt the adrenaline rushing through my veins as we jumped from boulder to boulder  We walked to a rock quarry and then walked up to a big hill with half of it's side cut off. After that, we go onto a trampoline next to the stables and played Truth or Dare. While we were on the trampoline, I got distracted and looked under the trampoline and found an Apple dongle.I gave the dongle to my dad as a bribe for video games. We got snacks and drinks afterwards. That was only the first day. On the second day I got there after church to celebrate Jade's birthday. Because of birthday luck, I was very proud and excited to see my friends accomplish such big goals. Jade got first place. Delilah got third. We ate cheese quesadillas and talked while drinking Fanta. Never in my life has a Fanta tasted so good. After that we were exhausted and decided to go home. When I was watching the horses and riders I was imagining me on a horse soaring through the air.

Birthday Adventures

As you guys know, Michael and I just had our birthday Wednesday. Wednesday was definitely an adventure, we did all kinds of stuff. The first thing that happened was our dad showing us we got Uncharted the Nathan Drake Collection. Then we went out for breakfast, we went to a cafe in Puerto Aventuras. I got a Nutella croissant and a cappuccino. Michael got a chocolate muffin. The next thing we did was a three page scavenger hunt. We had to go all around Puerto and take pictures of everything we found. After that Michael and I were tired so we went home to play some video games. Next we went to Puerto Morelos. We ate lunch and bought some things. I bought 4 rope bracelets and Michael bought a black leather bracelet. After enjoying our time in Puerto Morelos, we went home and played a lot more video games. At 6:25 we left for our small group. At 6:30 we sang happy birthday to me and at 6:32 we sang happy birthday too Michael. At small group we had cake and then we went upstairs and played video games. After saying goodbye to everyone, we drove home. After we arrived home we played some more video games. And today Michael and I are going paint balling with our friends the Jacksons. The Jackson also have adopted twins whose birthday is the 29th of February.

First Adventure

Hey guys! As you probably know, I am in Playa Del Carmen doing ministry in the Maya villages. But who said it's all work and no fun? In Playa, there are many opportunities too have fun! On the beach, Xplor, Xcaret, Woodward, and more! It's also 78 F in Playa and 32 F in Indianapolis. So my first adventure in Playa was getting Wilson, our 8 gigantic boxes, carry-ons, and personal bags off the plane through security and through the rest of the airport. Yes it was a little overwhelming but it was really fun. The funny part was getting Wilson down the stairs in the airport. Turns out he has never been on stairs before. We come to the stairs and Wilson freaks out! He kinds of crawls down the steps and then acts like nothing ever happened.  The really funny part of the story is that our rental house has stairs. He finally got used to them so thats good. Today we think we have found a house that we might buy. Thats all for now! Bye!
